Online Christian Colleges & Universities

Christian Colleges and Universities:

We offer the best online and on-campus degree programs available at Christian Colleges and Universities. These accredited schools provide an intentionally Christ-centered academic environment, along with excellence in the chosen fields of study. Students may earn an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in a number of academic fields.

Religious Studies and Christian Education

Many Christians understand the purpose of life and generally integrate well into the workplace as diligent, competent workers. The Christian faith is central to a solid foundation geared toward the study of the bible and its wisdom for practical living, which often translates into success within a variety of career fields. Degrees from Christian educators are viewed favorably by employers. In today’s business environment, employers are seeking honest, responsible, well-trained employees who have a moral base that reflects well on the employer and his business. In a time when scandals are so commonplace, employers are looking for ways to stay out of headlines caused by a lack of morality in employees. Good opportunities are expected for those who choose the high road.

Our Christian colleges and universities offer career options similar to other accredited online schools, including courses in the liberal arts, sciences and computer studies. The addition of biblical studies – including theology, pastoral studies, church administration, Christian ministry, Christian counseling and psychology, and religion -- enhance the usual college coursework for those who choose to enroll at our Christian schools. Students may earn their college degrees from accredited Christian colleges and universities that understand the hearts of those who may be drawn to a higher calling and who desire to enhance their gifts, talents and abilities with academic training.

Christian employers are seeking those who choose to align themselves with learning and theoretical development grounded in Christ-centered values. Campus programs are 2-year and 4-year, fully accredited degree programs, based or located in North America, with curriculum rooted in a number of popular academic disciplines.

The Association for Biblical Higher Education or ABHE (formerly the The Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges or AABC) is a nationally recognized accrediting agency in the United States. It is recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. The ABHE is creed based and requires annual affirmation statements to a particular creed that is not pluralistic.

The Association is a full member of the International Council of Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE) operating under the auspices of the World Evangelical Alliance.

Incorporated in the State of Illinois as a not-for-profit corporation, the Association is exempt from income tax under the provisions of section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.

ABHE is operated by its member institutions through a board of directors, members of which are elected at an annual business meeting. Accrediting decisions are made by the Commission on Accreditation. The Association's public accountability is underscored by the requirement that both the Board of Directors and the Commission on Accreditation must include public representatives among its members. The Association is administered by a full-time Executive Director and supported by a corps of professional staff.

According to ABHE's annual membership handbook, there were 33,200 undergraduates and 2,500 graduate students registered in over 135 colleges/universities across North America in the 2005/2006 academic year.
