Home Inspector
(Available Nationwide Online)

Home inspection is the career for the new millennium
Every year, thousands of homes require inspections...in every city and state nationwide! The demand for qualified home inspectors is huge and growing larger every day. The inspectior profession is an exciting career as well as a profitable one. Real estate inspection is a technical and complex field that demands a professional approach.

Home inspectors perform objective visual inspections of homes and produce a written report of the condition of the property for buyers and/or owners. Inspectors must be able to recognize any condition that could cause problems for the potential home owner. Home inspectors need extensive knowledge in many areas of residential construction such as: soils and foundations, wood and construction, roofing, plumbing, electricity, heating and ventilation, air conditioning and heat pumps, appliances, swimming pools and spas, termites and wood-destroying insects and environmental considerations.

About the Course

The course is available online or through traditional correspondence. The textbook used in Allied's course is one of the most comprehensive texts available. It covers the inspection process from start to finish (including quizzes at the end of each chapter, an inspection checklist for each topic and a glossary). In addition, Allied's course provides supplemental reading which will reveal dozens of special techniques used by professional home inspectors, what they look for and the methods they use. Course material is based on ASHI, which is the oldest, largest, and most recognized organization for home inspectors in North America.
